How to incorporate the Spooky Season into your Wedding?
So, it’s Halloween today! And I probably should have shared this blog earlier in the month for any October Brides… but to be honest, I just felt inspired this morning so only wrote it today!
I know a lot of 2022/2023 October Brides will be scouring for inspo today…
So here’s some ideas of how to incorporate the Spooky Season into your Wedding!
(Also just to show you that it doesn’t HAVE to be all dark & moody… or classic orange and black… it can be subtle and elegant too!)
This is not just for October 31st Couples… anyone who likes the supernatural elements I’m sure would appreciate these ideas too!
As a Wedding Venue Coordinator myself, I know that, in previous years, Halloween has been a notoriously difficult date to sell… but with couples really starting to embrace the ‘alternative’ wedding, breaking away from traditions and making their wedding about the things THEY love… I really believe that Halloween is soon going to become as popular of a date as Valentines Day!
So many people love October as we really feel the change into the Autumnal vibes and the pumpkin spices are everywhere! So, what a perfect time for a Wedding… cosy weather bringing everyone together, Wedding Venues (especially Country Houses) start lighting their fires and the darker nights also mean better sparkler and firework photos!
Not to mention… Halloween brings with it…
FREE DECOR – some venues will already have their decorations up – pumpkins at entrance doors or on the staircases, on the fireplace mantlepieces so this might end up saving you a good chunk of your budget on the decoration front!
TOP TIP: Make sure to take some of your wedding photos on a plain/neutral background so that you have a few non-festive ones, that way your photos can be used all year round – although you obviously LOVE Halloween… you may not necessarily want Halloween Photos hanging in your home or as your Phone Screensaver all year long.
